Preamplifier/Follower Head Stage with Unity Gain Preamplifier and Cables
HB04-BW --Head Stage Plug with Unity-gain Preamplifier Array with Bare Wire: This unit consists of a small one cm square PCB with 16 high impedance preamplifiers to allow voltage sensing from two arrays embedded in parallel in mounting dental acrylic. The preamplifiers are of excellent quality and yield minimal noise. The signals from the follower preamps and the connections to system ground are led from the head stage plug with a group of low-noise 34-gauge connector wire, (24 inch standard length) to a DB-25 connector.
HB04-SSS -- Head Stage Plug/Unity Gain Preamplifier
Array with Spring Steel Shield. This
unit consists of a small one cm square PCB with 16 high impedance CMOS
precision preamplifiers to allow voltage sensing from two arrays embedded in
parallel in mounting dental acrylic. The
signals from the follower preamps and the connections to system ground are led
from the head stage plug with 34-gauge low-noise connector wire, (24 inch
standard length) to a DB-25 connector. A spring steel shield is included to
protect the 16 wires from rodent bite.
The stiffness of the shield allows torsion to be applied to assist in
turning a commutator or to activate a sensor with motor assist. Properly
installed these units record from rats for 24 hours
Special Order Items - HB04-BW/SSS-xx --Head stage Plug and Preamplifier Array - ‘XX’ specifies the length of the lead wire in inches. Long lead wires held from above may allow study of neural activity without need of a commutator for shorter duration recordings in some cases.
The DB25 plug
connectors are wired to connecteed with the PA01 and
PA02 preamplifier modules. Connector wiring
configurations can be specified to allow units to work with preamplifiers from
other manufacturers.
